TJ Kokomo/Revolving Beast – SDR “Spilt” Series 1

This is, by far, the hardest record to write a description for. Self Destructo Records only did one split series release, and it was this one, uniting opposite ends of the label’s musical spectrum. Revolving Beast is a sideproject by Eidan Thorr (Benjamin Powell), of Valient Thorr, so you know what you can expect there, but TJ Kokomo is, well, what happens when a few members of Turbojugend Oslo get drunk and start belting out tunes while wearing Hawaiian shirts…no, really, that’s really the most accurate way to describe how they came into being. You want this, if, for no other reason, its novelty value.
